Irakli Kobakhidze: No snowfall expected from tomorrow, which will ease rescue, road clearing, and power restoration efforts – We are prepared for all scenarios

"No snowfall is forecast from tomorrow, and we hope this will facilitate rescue operations, road clearing efforts, and power restoration work. The rest remains to be seen, but we are prepared for all scenarios," Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated.

According to Kobakhidze, the main priorities are clearing roads, restoring communication, restoring electricity supply, and ensuring food provision.

"In recent days, intensive efforts have been made to clear roads, and significant progress has already been achieved in reconnecting isolated villages with the outside world. Rescue teams have worked particularly hard on this.

One of the current top priorities is restoring electricity supply to villages. Many villages remain without electricity due to infrastructure damage, and we discussed this issue today. Over the coming days, active efforts will continue to fully restore power.

We also hope for improved weather conditions. With no snowfall expected from tomorrow, we believe it will ease rescue operations, road clearing, and power restoration work. We will remain mobilized for all necessary actions.

It is also positive that emergency medical teams have been operating without interruptions, ensuring that critical cases receive immediate response. There has not been a single case where an ambulance could not reach its destination," Kobakhidze noted.

During a coordination headquarters meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed on the work carried out in the Guria region throughout the day.
