Irakli Kobakhidze: Yesterday a clear line was once again drawn between the war party and the peace party

Yesterday, a clear line was once again drawn between the war party and the peace party - what we have been arguing for three years, that the US and the global war party are two different entities, was once again confirmed, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze wrote on Facebook, responding to the meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump.

According to him, yesterday, a line was once again drawn between the forces that want peace and care about the fate of Ukrainians and those that want to kill every last Ukrainian.

“Yesterday, a clear line was once again drawn between the war party and the peace party. I mean not so much the Trump-Zelensky controversy, but the subsequent response to this controversy. President Trump and his peace efforts have been condemned one after another by the people responsible for unleashing a bloody war that has killed thousands of Ukrainians in cold blood.

The global war party has quickly mobilized speakers against President Trump, from Jeanne Shaheen to numerous officials in Brussels. They were followed by the leaders of the Georgian radical opposition, who were showing off their “selfies” in the back room of President Trump’s inauguration just a month ago.

Yesterday, the line was once again drawn between the forces that want peace and care about the fate of Ukrainians and those that want to kill every last Ukrainian. It has also become clear that the global war party and the deep state will not give up on war so easily.

What we have been arguing for three years has been confirmed once again - the USA and the global war party are two different entities. Let us remind you that our opponents have been trying to equate them all these years.

The struggle between the war party and the peace-loving forces is entering a decisive phase. Let us hope that this struggle will end with the victory of peace. The sooner the war in Ukraine ends, the fewer Ukrainian lives will be lost and the sooner peace will be established in the region as a whole.

I wish President Trump endurance and courage in this difficult struggle,” Kobakhidze wrote.
