As a result of the verbal confrontation between the presidents of the United States and Ukraine in the Oval Office of the White House, it became clear who is on the side of war and who is on the side of peace, - Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze stated in response to the relevant question.
According to him, ending the war and maintaining peace is fundamentally important.
“Yesterday, Trump once again clearly emphasized who wants war and who wants peace. Everything we saw yesterday is already clear and obvious. Therefore, I will not explain it. What is more interesting are the statements made after this polemic. We saw statements by stateless people inside the country, which once again demonstrates who really wanted war, both inside and outside the country. We had openly said everything. In particular, that there is a global war party that wants to wage war in different countries of the world. Of course, they benefit from this, financial well-being, but countries, cities, villages are destroyed, and civilians are killed. An example of this is the most difficult situation in Ukraine. We have a complete catastrophe in this country. Accordingly, it is fundamentally important to end all this. We have been openly talking about the existence of specific forces that are behind all this. They pursued their specific interests in another country and wanted the same in Georgia,” said Kakha Kaladze.
According to him, now some politicians are lying and saying that they never called on Georgia to join the sanctions.
“I will recall one example, when the then Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili stated that Georgia would not join the sanctions, what some people said in response to this - there is an archive and it is clear that some preferred that bombs were dropped on Georgia. Today, everything is clear, the public sees everything clearly. Every sane person who loves their homeland sees clearly how much trouble Georgian Dream prevented in our country," the Tbilisi Mayor noted.
