Badra Gunba, a so-called ‘presidential candidate’ in occupied Abkhazia, has claimed victory in the second round of the ‘presidential elections.’ The information was reported by Russian media.
"Everyone is aware of the preliminary results. This outcome is driven by the trust that the citizens of our country have shown toward us and our team. Most importantly, it reflects the will of our people," Gunba stated during a meeting with supporters at his so-called ‘election headquarters.’
According to the Telegram channel "Apsny 360," Gunba received 54,859 votes (56%), while his opponent Adgur Ardzinba secured 41,701 votes (42%). Additionally, 20,307 voters (2%) cast their ballots against all candidates.
The so-called ‘Central Election Commission’ of occupied Abkhazia is expected to announce the preliminary results on March 2, while the ‘official results’ will be published within the next three days.
