Lawyer: Temur Katamadze says he feels weak and is already having difficulty moving

Activist Temur Katamadze, who has been on hunger strike for the 46th day, says he feels weak and is already having difficulty moving, - Mariam Gabroshvili, a lawyer for the Young Lawyers Association, told InterPressNews.

According to the lawyer, Temur Katamadze, despite the current condition, still refuses to be transferred to the clinic.

“Temur Katamadze, as he explains, already feels weak and also experiences difficulties in moving. I don’t know, we hope that he will agree to be transferred to the clinic in the near future. As you know, no examination has been conducted on this person since February 15, he refused to undergo a medical examination, and after February 15, we have no information about his health condition, except for the information provided by him, which he himself explained these days. Today, as he says, he feels weak and is already having difficulty moving," said Mariam Gabroshvili.

According to her, Katamadze is not given enough time to receive with visitors at the temporary detention center, which she perceives as psychological pressure.

Activist Temur Katamadze has been on a hunger strike for the 46th day. He was initially detained by the police in Batumi on administrative charges, but after his release from prison, he was arrested again. During the second arrest, the police accused Temur Katamadze of not having the right to live in Georgia.
