Salome Zurabishvili: If there is no justice, there is no real peace

I would like to call on other mothers who are at home today and believe in this imaginary peace and believe that someone has won peace for them - no, if this peace is won, it will be won by children who have endured everything with dignity, they will be free, and with them the country will be free, - the fifth President, Salome Zurabishvili, stated while participating in the Mothers’ March.

According to her, "until our children are not free," there is no real peace.

"I would like to say how important it is that today all women, mothers have come to Rustaveli to demand justice for their children, because as they say here, if there is no justice, there is no peace, there is no real peace, this is an imaginary peace, until our children (they are our collective children) are not free.

I would like to wish all mothers a happy Mothers’ Day, because every mother is happy when she has a child who defends her country with dignity. I would like to call on other mothers who are at home today and believe in this imaginary peace and believe that someone has won peace for them - no, if this peace is won, it will be won by these children who have endured everything with dignity, will endure more and will be free, and with them the country will be free.

Today, I congratulate the mothers who are abroad, who do not have the opportunity to be with their children. I am sure that many of them share our sorrow and our joy for tomorrow,” Zurabishvili said.
