A protest rally near the parliament continues: Rustaveli Avenue is blocked

Protesters in front of the parliament blocked the roadway.

Despite the police cordon, the demonstrators gathered near the legislative body managed to occupy the road.

Meanwhile, a protest march will join the rally from the Public Broadcaster's area, continuing through the central avenue of the capital.

On the 97th day of uninterrupted protests, the main demands of the demonstrators remain the same: the scheduling of new elections and the unconditional release of all individuals detained during the protests.

For your information, the citizens' protest followed Irakli Kobakhidze's statement on November 28, according to which Georgia postponed the opening of EU accession negotiations until 2028.
