Papuashvili and speakers like him energetically attack the ambassadors of the closest friendly states of our state - this once again proves that the goal of this force is to distance our country from the Euro-Atlantic path, - Badri Japaridze, one of the leaders of Strong Georgia, said responding to the statement made by Shalva Papuashvili.

According to Japaridze, "Papuashvili's attack" on the ambassadors shows that the goal of Papuashvili and his political force is not to bring Georgia closer to Europe.

"Papuashvili's attack on the ambassadors of the closest friendly states of Georgia shows that the goal of Papuashvili and this force is not to fulfill the promise they had - to bring Georgia closer to Europe, but on the contrary, to distance ourselves from Europe, the European Union, friends of our state and to bring our country into the Russian bosom. This is exactly what Papuashvili and speakers like him confirm, from whom we have not heard a single critical word regarding either Lavrov or Putin, but they energetically attack the ambassadors of the closest friendly states of our state. This once again confirms that the goal of this force and its speakers is to distance our country from the path called the Euro-Atlantic path, to which our people aspire,” Japaridze said.

For information, today the Speaker of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili stated that the presence of ambassadors at court hearings has only one purpose - “it is to put pressure on the Georgian judiciary and intimidate judges.”

According to him, this action on the part of the representatives of the embassies is a disrespect for the sovereignty of Georgia.
