Badri Japaridze, one of the leaders of the "Strong Georgia" coalition, stated after a meeting with Georgia's fifth president, Salome Zurabishvili, that they discussed the steps that need to be taken to expedite the decision regarding the date for new elections.

Japaridze mentioned that the development of a common format should take place around Salome Zurabishvili, where, alongside political centers, those involved in continuous protests should also be represented.

“There was also a discussion about the importance of closer coordination among political centers, society, and the president, and we will continue this discussion. It was another working and very interesting, substantive meeting.

Salome Zurabishvili’s position is that there should be maximum coordination and closeness between political and social groups. We believe that a common format should be developed around the president. It could be a front of internal opposition or a coordination council—names don’t matter here; the essence is that real political centers should be present, as well as representatives of society and those who are out in the streets every day—their representation must be reflected here, in this coordination council,” Japaridze stated.
