Another co-author has joined the "Act of Non-Recognition of the Georgian Nightmare." This information has been posted on the official website of the US Congress.

Specifically, a new co-sponsor, Congressman Tom Suozzi (Democratic Party), has joined the bill originally introduced by Congressman Joe Wilson (Republican Party), increasing the number of cosponsors to seven. Besides Suozzi, other co-sponsors include Republicans Michael Turner and Michael Lawler, as well as Democrats Steve Cohen, Lloyd Doggett, Emanuel Cleaver, and Jimmy Panetta.

For context, the "Act of Non-Recognition of the Georgian Nightmare" prohibits the U.S. government from recognizing any government in Georgia "led by Bidzina Ivanishvili or any of his puppets."

Congressman Joe Wilson has also introduced another bill, the "MEGOBARI Act," which includes sanctions. It already has 18 co-sponsors (10 Democrats and 8 Republicans). Additionally, the MEGOBARI Act has been introduced in the U.S. Senate by Republican Jim Risch and Democrat Jeanne Shaheen.
