Irakli Kobakhidze: A senior official of one of the organizations closed by the Trump administration noted at the meeting with us that we should follow his messages, regarding engagement in war - he repeated to me twice: “You are hitting a brick wall”

For a specific force, or rather, the global war party, everything related to the European Union is a tool of blackmail and nothing more. It was about the candidate status and the opening of negotiations, and that is why we made the decision of November 28, - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated.

According to the head of government, the country cannot be under “permanent blackmail.”

“I can recall another meeting that took place about 1-2 weeks after the failed revolution. A senior official came from one of the organizations that has now been closed by the Trump administration. He noted during the meeting with me that we should follow the messages that a specific person was giving us, that it was about getting involved in the war. He told me something like this - don't you think that these are just his messages, these are our common messages, he was also a representative of the "Deep State", the global war party, he declared this to us after the failed revolution. To this I replied that this meant the destruction of the country and we could not sign it. To this he repeated the same words to me twice - in English it was said like this - “You are hitting a brick wall”. Such was his message, he repeated it twice, which meant that this was the main message that he brought. This was their attitude. Then this person actually threatened us in the name of “Deep State”, that they would bring the matter to the end and return the collective National Movement to power, which would then do what they demanded from us, that is, these people would involve the country in the war. I had a clear position on this too and once again confirmed to him that we were going to fight to the end to protect the national interests of our country," Irakli Kobakhidze said on Imedi.
