Teona Akubardia: The only thing propaganda has to hold onto is a photo of the U.S. Ambassador and Maka Bochorishvili - They cannot sell the idea that they can mend relations with America, and there is no sign of it happening

"They are creating an enemy image of the West while giving Russia, which has occupied 20% of our country, opportunities to the extent that Bidzina Ivanishvili’s shameful apology was used by Russia’s Foreign Ministry in Geneva to push for greater pressure on Georgia regarding the recognition of the occupied regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia," said Teona Akubardia, a member of the 'For Georgia' party, during an interview on Palitranews' program "Summary."

According to Akubardia, "Georgian Dream" is unable to mend relations with the U.S., and the only thing their propaganda has to hold onto is a single photo of the U.S. Ambassador and Maka Bochorishvili.

"Bidzina Ivanishvili is sanctioned, his law enforcement officials are sanctioned, and strategic partnership with the U.S. has been disrupted thanks to Ivanishvili and his so-called team. As a result, Georgia’s relationship with the world’s most powerful country has significantly deteriorated—if it can even be called a relationship at this point.

The expectation Ivanishvili created that everything would be 'sorted out' after Trump's inauguration on January 20 did not materialize. February passed, then March, and now, the only thing propaganda has left to showcase is a single photo of the U.S. Ambassador and Maka Bochorishvili. Simply put, they cannot sell the idea that they have the capacity to restore relations with America, especially when there is absolutely no sign of it happening, nor will there be.

Instead, they are inventing imaginary enemies, such as the so-called 'Global War Party,' and now they have added the Baltic states to their use of the term 'Deep State' in their rhetoric, further fostering an enemy image of the West. Meanwhile, they are granting Russia, the real occupier of 20% of our territory, significant opportunities—so much so that Bidzina Ivanishvili’s disgraceful apology was exploited by Russia’s Foreign Ministry in Geneva to escalate pressure on Georgia regarding the recognition of occupied Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

Ivanishvili himself created this foundation, and it once again demonstrates that his actions over the years have only increased threats to Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. His policies have led to further isolation from the West, more chaos, and greater instability both domestically and internationally," Akubardia stated.
