"More isolation for 'Georgian Dream,' Ivanishvili, and its leaders; more integration with America for us – this is the 'MEGOBARI Act.'
The discussion of this act is beginning in the Senate, and I am sure that 'Georgian Dream' will hear many things it does not want to hear, while we will hear many good things that will give us more hope," said the leader of "Strategy Aghmashenebeli," Giorgi Vashadze, in an interview with Interpressnews during an ongoing rally in Tbilisi.
According to him, friendship with America and the "Friendship Act" mean security, development, and progress for Georgia, while "Ivanishvili’s path leads to isolation, which is the most vulnerable path."
"If we are left alone, it will be very easy to subjugate us. That is why we seek friendship with America, and we should consider this as a process of supporting America's friendship. This 'Friendship Act' is what Georgia needs. We have many supporters in America and Europe, and they also need encouragement from us—through our rallies, our actions, and our strong voices—so they do not tire in supporting us, because we are confident in victory. We must show this.
More isolation for 'Georgian Dream,' Ivanishvili, and its leaders; more integration with America for us—this is the 'Friendship Act.' The discussion of this act is beginning in the Senate, and this is extremely important. There are no specific deadlines for its adoption yet, so this discussion is crucial. We will learn a lot about America’s stance toward Georgia, especially during Trump’s presidency. I am sure that 'Georgian Dream' will hear many unpleasant things, while we will hear many good things that will give us even more hope," said Giorgi Vashadze.
