Rasa Juknevicienė: A very welcome decision by Germany - since Orbán is blocking these sanctions at the EU level, all remaining Member States should impose these sanctions individually

Since Orbán is blocking these sanctions at the EU level, all remaining Member States should impose these sanctions individually, - this is how Lithuanian MEP Rasa Juknevicienė responds to the imposition of additional entry bans by Germany on "persons responsible for the crackdown" in Georgia.

“A very welcome decision by Germany to impose personal sanctions on the Georgian officials responsible for the erosion of democracy in the country.

Since Orbán is blocking these sanctions at the EU level, all remaining Member States should impose these sanctions individually”, she said.

In addition, the MEP also responded to the visit of the fifth President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, to Lithuania.

“Welcome to Lithuania, President Zourabichvili! From one freedom-loving nation to another, we will always stand with our Kartvelian brothers and sisters”, she said.
