"The office manager and lawyer of Strong Georgia, Tornike Artkmeladze, have been summoned to the Prosecutor’s Office—a Prosecutor’s Office that determines all actions and decisions based on political expediency.
We do not intend to go there, but we are ready to appear before a magistrate judge in a courtroom at any time," said Irakli Kupradze, a member of the Strong Georgia coalition.
According to him, they will inform Western partners about all types of pressure being exerted against Strong Georgia.
"Ivanishvili's Russian-style regime continues its fight against its main opponent, Strong Georgia. After summoning our leaders, Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze, to the Prosecutor’s Office—which serves only the interests of Bidzina Ivanishvili—they are now summoning our office staff and coalition members.
The office manager and lawyer of Strong Georgia, Tornike Artkmeladze, have been summoned to the Prosecutor’s Office, which makes decisions solely based on political calculations. We openly declare to the public that we are accountable to the citizens of Georgia, to national interests, and to our two main demands—new elections and the release of political prisoners. We will provide our Western partners with information about all types of pressure being exerted against our coalition.
We continue our fight. We do not intend to go to the Prosecutor’s Office, but we are ready to appear in a courtroom before a magistrate judge at any time.
This fight belongs to the citizens of Georgia, as well as to Strong Georgia, which is being persecuted as the main opponent of Ivanishvili and his regime," said Irakli Kupradze.
