The lawyer of Elene Khoshtaria, a member of the "Coalition for Change," Teona Zakarashvili, stated that Khoshtaria was released from the Dighomi main police station.
As Zakarashvili told Interpressnews, after the 24-hour detention period expired, she was released from the isolator. The lawyer does not have any further details at this time.
One of the leaders of the "Coalition for Change," Nika Gvaramia, also reported on Elene Khoshtaria's release, noting that she was freed without a court decision.
"At this moment, Elene was released from the isolator. No court, no indication of any legal grounds. They simply opened the door and told her to leave," Gvaramia wrote.
For your information, Elene Khoshtaria was detained on March 28 during a protest rally near Parliament under Article 166 and 173 of the Administrative Offenses Code, which pertains to petty hooliganism and disobedience to lawful police orders.
