Nika Gvaramia: "Akhali" is ready to operate in coordination with pro-Western actors, with the sole condition that there will be no ambiguity that could potentially serve as a basis for legitimizing Ivanishvili's regime

The party "Akhali" will always give a chance to coordination and joint actions in the interests of Georgia," wrote Nika Gvaramia, one of the leaders of the "Coalition for Change," on social media.

According to him, "Akhali" is ready to operate in coordination with any pro-Western actor, with the sole condition that there will be no ambiguity or room for interpretation on political issues that could potentially serve as a basis for legitimizing Ivanishvili’s regime.

"The party 'Akhali' will always give a chance to coordination and joint actions in the interests of Georgia.

However, on the fundamental issue—complete non-cooperation with the regime, including refusing to participate in local self-government elections, rejecting engagement with illegitimate commissions, and clearly and unequivocally supporting a boycott of such actions—we do not find it justifiable that an agreement was not signed precisely due to the demand for clear provisions on these matters. Additionally, the president's decision to exclude these issues from the founding document of the Resistance Platform simply because one specific party ('For Georgia' by Gakharia) opposed them is also unacceptable to us.

The party 'Akhali' is ready to operate in coordination with any pro-Western actor, but only under the condition that there is no ambiguity or room for interpretation on political issues that could potentially legitimize Ivanishvili’s regime.

On this issue, other members of the 'Coalition for Change' will provide explanations regarding their own positions," Gvaramia wrote.
