"I support any attempt to unite forces, but I believe the most important and urgent task is to establish a unified and clear position on the path/strategy to defeating the regime, which we will explain to the citizens and then implement together with them," wrote Zurab Japaridze, one of the leaders of the "Coalition for Change," on social media.
According to him, there is already a practice of coordination among political parties, and if new "directions" emerge, he is ready to participate.
"I support any attempt to unite forces. Yesterday, Salome Zurabishvili mentioned that there are two demands on which we are in agreement: a) new parliamentary elections and b) the release of political prisoners. I fully support both demands.
Additionally, where coordination practices already exist and are working, such as on the external front, I am also involved there. If any new direction arises where coordination is possible (hopefully), I have no problem engaging there as well.
However, I believe the most important and urgent tasks are:
1. Agreement on fundamental principles (e.g., not granting legitimacy to the regime through any action).
2. Establishing a unified and clear position on the path/strategy to defeating the regime, which we will explain to the citizens and then implement together with them," wrote Zurab Japaridze.
