Irakli Beraia appointed as Head of the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Finance

By the nomination of Minister of Finance Lasha Khutsishvili and the decree of Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on April 2, 2025, Irakli Beraia has been appointed as the Head of the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Finance, according to information released by the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Finance.

"Until now, he held the position of Deputy Minister of Justice.

Irakli Beraia was born on July 23, 1976.

In 1998, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Economics at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

From 2016 to 2025, he was a member of the 9th, 10th, and 11th convocations of the Parliament of Georgia.

Before entering politics, he had a successful career in the banking sector," the statement reads.

It is worth noting that yesterday, reports emerged that the former Head of the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Finance, Soso Ramishvili, had resigned.
