Davit Matikashvili: Salome Zurabishvili is a failed politician – What she is trying to do is find a way out of the deadlock created by the radical opposition and extremist groups

"In reality, Salome Zurabishvili is an absolutely failed politician – what she is attempting is to find a way out of the deadlock created by the radical opposition and extremist groups," said Davit Matikashvili, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules, in a statement to journalists.

According to him, "No one believes in Salome Zurabishvili or the collective 'United National Movement.'"

"In reality, there is no way out of this situation. That is why none of her attempts to continue feeding her foreign taskmasters with activity will succeed. Why? The first and most important reason is that no one believes in Salome Zurabishvili or the collective 'United National Movement.' In reality, they have no electoral support in our country. This was clearly demonstrated a few days ago when they attempted to hold a rally. The small number of people present responded to Salome Zurabishvili with whistles and jeers.

The same can be said about all the so-called leaders of the 'collective United National Movement,' as their political path has essentially ended in failure. In this situation, these pseudo-directions, empty promises, and staged attempts to appear active in politics are meaningless. This is nothing more than a response aimed at appeasing the forces, the so-called 'Deep State,' that control these people in Georgia," Matikashvili stated.
