When the elections were held in the US, of course, we had also calculated the worst-case scenario, and this worst-case scenario would be the same government remaining in power that was in power before - we were absolutely ready for this scenario, - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.
According to the head of government, "no one would be able to shake Georgia's independence even under this scenario."
"The election of Trump has already brought significant results. The main result is that society has understood many things differently. You can already see that the new government in the US is saying the same thing about the previous government that we have been saying for 4 years. This is already a very tangible, significant result. As for future developments, let's see, we are ready for everything. There are two possible scenarios. One scenario is that Trump defeats the Deep State, in this case this is a good scenario for us, which will contribute to the healing of relations between Georgia and the United States. If Trump fails to defeat the Deep State, in this case, there is a risk that events will continue to develop as they have been for the past 4 years. We are ready for both scenarios, under neither scenario can anyone shake the sovereignty and independence of the Georgian state," the Prime Minister said.
