Due to the statements made in public by Tea Tsulukiani, the chairwoman of the temporary investigative commission established in the parliament, regarding Badri Japaridze and Mamuka Khazaradze, the coalition Lelo - Strong Georgia plans to file a suit with the court. The members of Lelo - Strong Georgia announced the above at the press conference held at the Tbilisi Prosecutor’s Office.
As the Secretary General of Lelo - Strong Georgia, Irakli Kupradze, explained, their political force fully shares the position of Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze “on boycotting the commission and will not allow the discrediting of the coalition and its leaders.”
“The Russian commission for the punishment of Bidzina Ivanishvili, gathered in the illegitimate parliament, has openly confirmed in its current sessions and on the airwaves of propaganda media, the statements of its members, that the goal of the so-called commission is not to establish historical and factual truth, to restore the rights of the affected persons, but rather to achieve political revenge and establish a one-party dictatorship in the country; to attack the real, pro-Western political class of Georgia and attempt to destroy it; to discredit the Georgian army and to prosecute the state in the name of Russian revenge and the Kremlin”.
“Until Tea Tsulukiani and a commission similar to the Soviet “troika” of the Russian Dream appear before an independent Georgian court, we will immediately begin a legal process and also apply to the Strasbourg court in order to expose the real intentions of the regime in the eyes of the public,” the Coalition said in a statement.
