The French ambassador should first of all look after his own country - despite the fact that we have seen many vices in France, today they have an unpopular government, we do not talk about these topics, let them not interfere in the independence of our country, - Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said in response to the statements made by the French ambassador to Georgia.
As the Prime Minister noted, everyone should respect the sovereignty and independence of other countries.
“The French ambassador should, first of all, look after his own country. You see what is happening in France: there is one of the presidential candidates who has serious chances of winning and he was prevented from participating in the elections, while they are making remarks about us on issues that do not deserve any remarks.
Mind your own business. We do not make statements about what is happening in France. Everyone should respect the sovereignty and independence of another country, no one should interfere in the affairs of another country, especially when a diplomat, an ambassador, does this, this is a direct violation of the Vienna Convention.
Our ambassadors do not do anything like that. Despite the fact that we have seen many vices in France over the years, today France has an unpopular government. Despite this, we do not talk about these topics, let them not interfere in the independence of our country, they will do this in gross violation of the Vienna Convention,” the Prime Minister noted.
Kobakhidze also responded to the statement of the Estonian Foreign Minister regarding visa liberalization. According to him, “we should not expect any changes” in this regard.
“This particular man is so unserious that I cannot make any serious comments about him. As for visa liberalization, I think we should not expect any changes in this regard. This is one of the persons fulfilling the orders of the Deep State, and in his opinion, he sends out intimidating messages. However, the public has not been frightened by this over the past year and will not be frightened in the future. They should look after their own country,” Kobakhidze said.
