Mamuka Khazaradze: “Georgian Dream” wants us to recognize their government through a parliamentary investigative commission - Our response is simple – we won’t come, and we won’t recognize you!

"Georgian Dream wants us to recognize their government through this investigative commission, but our response is simple – we will not participate and we do not recognize you, because you are an illegitimate parliament and commission," – said Mamuka Khazaradze, leader of the "Strong Georgia" coalition.

According to him, in recent years the ruling party has done everything to remove them from the political field and subdue them, but it has failed.

"Through this commission, Georgian Dream wants us to recognize their government, but we have a simple answer – we will not come and we will not recognize you, because you are an illegitimate parliament and commission.

As a result of the political attacks over the past 5 years, Bidzina Ivanishvili has seen that he couldn’t scare us or push us out of the political scene – on the contrary, we have become stronger. Prison won't intimidate us, and there is nothing he can do to us. The answer to his actions is simple – his government is anti-Georgian. It does not serve the constitutional choice of the Georgian people – Eurointegration – and is doing everything to leave Georgia isolated, without partners," Khazaradze stated.

Mamuka Khazaradze also commented on Badri Japaridze’s court hearing at the City Court, calling the ongoing process "cynical."

"It's all ridiculous when they notify you of a court session just half an hour before. They called Badri’s and our lawyers and told them a court hearing had been scheduled. This is pure cynicism. There is no real judiciary in the country, just like there are no functioning institutions. They are revising decisions made by their own courts," Khazaradze said.
