Shalva Papuashvili: The problem is not with the person who attacked others with a campaign of humiliation and contempt, but with those who finance and incite this person

The problem is not with the person who attacked others with a campaign of humiliation and contempt, but with those who finance and incite this person, - the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili said in connection with the incident between Vato Shakarashvili and Giorgi Mamniashvili, a journalist of the Main Channel.

As the Speaker of the Parliament noted, "fascist campaigns are incited and financed from the outside."

"Yesterday morning, I had a post on a social network that referred to one of the statements of the German Embassy. There I also noted that fascist campaigns are incited and financed from the outside. Not even a few hours had passed when this fascist campaign was launched, when a person came provocatively and began an attack that violated dignity. This is exactly what is being encouraged by some embassies and donors. They applaud this, they want to divide our society. This is the intention to oppose society against each other and to create constant anxiety in society. You will not find any embassy that would condemn this, because it is precisely some embassies that are behind this campaign. The people they hire are conducting the “slave-slave” and “Russian-Russian” campaigns. This is the usual hybrid attack on Georgian society by some diplomats and donors who are directly financing, ordering and inciting this campaign to undermine dignity. The German embassy made a statement in which, in effect, they said that they do not recognize the Vienna Convention and will interfere in the internal affairs of other countries because, for some reason, the German embassy probably thinks and points to its own constitution that they are responsible for protecting dignity in the world. Where do they see dignity when people are addressed with such epithets? – This is incited precisely by the incitement or direct order that comes from various foreign funds to organizations. I will remind everyone that the “Molotov” cocktail was financed from the EU budget. The “mona.ge” campaign was financed from the budgets of the EU and European countries. So, the problem is not in the person who attacked others with a campaign of humiliation and contempt, but the problem is in those who finance and incite this person. Who finances and who incites, unfortunately, we see this every day from various foreign actors,” said Shalva Papuashvili.
