Statements by the Georgian leadership regarding the restoration of Georgia's territorial integrity indicate that there is no desire to move away from old approaches, which have long been inconsistent with the current reality, the so-called Ministry of Foreign Affairs of occupied Abkhazia responds to the statement by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze that the restoration of Georgia's territorial integrity is possible.
According to them, further coexistence with Georgia is possible on the basis of "good neighborliness" and mutual respect.
"Instead of declarations about the restoration of territorial integrity in Abkhazia, we would like to see Georgia's desire for a constructive dialogue and the search for compromises, which would create peaceful and mutually beneficial relations," the statement reads.
The so-called Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia claims that stability in the region will be facilitated by the signing of a legally binding agreement on non-use of force between the "Republic of Abkhazia" and Georgia, as well as the opening of communications.
For reference, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated in an interview with the TV company "Imedi" that under consistent policy and patience, any goal is achievable, including the restoration of Georgia's territorial integrity.
