Irakli Kobakhidze to a journalist: Mr. Tamazashvili will receive his salary just fine, I’ll show you – your sanctions don’t work

"Mr. Tamazashvili will receive his salary just fine. I’ll show you. He’ll receive it perfectly well, just as he has until now," said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze in response to a question about how the sanctioned Chairman of the Government of Adjara, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, will be paid.

According to Kobakhidze, Tamazashvili has been receiving his salary officially and will continue to do so.

“He used to receive his salary officially as the head of the city police, and he will receive it officially as the Chairman of the Government of Adjara as well. Your sanctions don’t work — that I can tell you,” Kobakhidze stated.
