The resolution, which will be adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on Thursday, will most likely set two fundamental conditions again - new fair parliamentary elections and the release of all political prisoners, as two conditions without which Ivanishvili's representation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will not be able to return, - said Tina Bokuchava, the chairwoman of the United National Movement.
According to her, the Monitoring Committee is the lead committee, which she attended on behalf of democratic political forces.
“Today, the Monitoring Committee of the Council of Europe is reviewing the draft resolution that the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will adopt during a special debate on Thursday. The Monitoring Committee is the lead committee, which we attended yesterday on behalf of democratic political forces. Most likely, this resolution, which the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will adopt on Thursday, will again set the two fundamental conditions that we saw in the January resolution. These are new fair parliamentary elections and the release of all political prisoners, as two conditions without which Ivanishvili’s representation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe cannot return, despite Tsulukiani’s attempt in January that these conditions were not set and that precisely new elections and the release of political prisoners are the only way for Georgia to get out of the current political crisis in which the Ivanishvili regime has plunged our country", - said Tina Bokuchava.
The party's press service disseminated the aforementioned comment.
