According to him, the process at the April 9 Memorial was organized by specific non-governmental organizations, which are funded by European countries.

"What we saw yesterday was a shameful act. Several dozen people who were on Rustaveli trampled on the memory of those who died on April 9, the ideas for which the people gathered on April 9 stood before the Soviet army, these people trampled on the idea for which the national movement fought.

What was happening on Rustaveli yesterday was organized by specific non-governmental organizations - Transparency International, Sapari, Shame, which we saw there. The organizations had been organizing an event in the previous days to prevent people they did not accept from coming to Rustaveli, by doing this they wanted to provoke confrontation among the society and after they achieved their goal, they themselves started violence. The problem is with the donors who are financing all this. Transparency International, which is an organization registered in Estonia, is funded by the Swedish state, and yesterday it was actually the Swedish representation that was shouting there, not an employee of any Georgian NGO. Yesterday, a member of the city council, a member of the government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, and participants of April 9 were attacked, abused, and shouted at by representatives of specific foreign governments, specific diplomats, who then came to the memorial themselves. The question is addressed to the Swedish ambassador, is this what they are funding to oppose the Georgian people? The Swedish embassy is responsible, it is a pity that nowadays hatred, contempt, violence, false disinformation, and propaganda are associated with European funding. After yesterday's disgusting act, when we saw the hysteria of emotionally damaged people, the full responsibility for this disgusting act lies with specific embassies and donors. We saw Rodionovs dressed in Georgian clothes on Rustaveli Avenue.

When organizations funded by Sweden were organizing disgusting attacks on Rustaveli, within a few minutes the Swedish ambassador arrived where his funded organizations were attacking the participants of April 9, he came and decorated the memorial with flowers. This hypocrisy must end! We are waiting for an answer - will the Swedish embassy distance itself from this terror organized by the organizations it funded?

If you do not condemn violence, then you are inciting violence, and if you incite violence, then you are an accomplice to it," said Shalva Papuashvili.
