The Prime Minister is trying to convince the part of society that more or less supports “Georgian Dream” with lies, telling them that he too is paving the European path – Georgia’s fifth President, [Salome Zurabishvili], stated this.

As she noted, Georgia is not alone in the region and enjoys the support and attention of international partners.

“Various statements show just how false the Prime Minister’s claims were yesterday. He is trying to mislead, at least, that segment of society that more or less supports 'Georgian Dream,' by making them believe that they too are preparing the European path. But every statement we've seen from our European partners in recent days and earlier shows only one thing – Georgia's European path depends on whether we and 'Georgian Dream,' which holds the levers of power, return to a democratic course, stop the repression, release political prisoners, and call elections. That is the only way to ensure Georgia’s path toward Europe is not halted for a long time. No one can lead the country on the European path in any other way – that is a lie.

Meanwhile, we are left in isolation – complete economic and political isolation – which means we are left one-on-one with our historic enemy, the 'Rodionovs,' vulnerable. Because true security only exists through our partnerships, and we know we have their support and attention – we are not alone in this region.

We are also beginning to work with various major segments of society, including public servants – especially those who have recently been dismissed en masse. In the coming days, we will inform you when we plan to hold meetings with different segments of the public,” said Zurabishvili.
