According to Vashadze, lies and disinformation are part of a psychological warfare strategy developed in Russia, which is now being used in Georgia by Ivanishvili’s regime.
"If you steal a nation's idea, it loses both its purpose and its strength to resist.
The enemy doesn’t try to convince you of anything – it tries to blur the line between truth and lies, and ultimately, drown the truth in falsehood.
This chaos is not accidental – it is a weapon. A weapon that aims to:
turn heroism into foolishness,
obedience into wisdom.
This is a psychological warfare strategy developed in Russia, which Ivanishvili’s regime is now using in Georgia: 'Create so many contradictory “truths” that people can no longer tell what’s real and eventually go silent.'
They twist reality so much that you start doubting your own feelings, your memory, your homeland – even your heroes.
They strip away all your value-based foundations so that you’re left confused, oppressed, demoralized, and obedient.
How does it work? They tell you things like:
“Antsukhelidze was sacrificed for nothing,”
"April 9 was a meaningless loss,”
“Heroism is just PR,”
“Giving in to Russia is pragmatism.”
Today Europe is “the enemy,” and tomorrow they themselves go to Brussels “in search of peace.”
One day the ‘deep state’ is losing, the next it’s winning.
The result? People get confused. They no longer know whom to trust. They no longer know what to fight for, or what to do – and in the end, they fall silent. That’s their goal.
What is our response?
When they take away your heroes — you protect your memory.
When they wrap you in lies — you speak the truth.
When everyone is silent — your voice becomes the most precious.
