Russia can very easily remove this barrier, - the Chairman of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili said in response to the statement of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Mikhail Galuzin.

As Papuashvili noted, the instrument for removing this barrier is in the hands of Russia.

"As soon as we see steps to remove the barrier, of course, it will be possible to restore relations. Therefore, everyone knows very well what the barrier is that prevents the restoration of relations between Georgia and Russia. The instrument to remove this barrier is in the hands of Russia. Therefore, we are waiting for exactly this. I cannot say anything about other issues, the only issue is the occupation of Georgian territories. This is the only barrier on the path to normalizing relations between Georgia and Russia. Removing this barrier is up to Russia itself," Papuashvili said.
