The leader of the parliamentary majority, Mamuka Mdinaradze, stated that the circulating information about his appointment as Minister of Internal Affairs is a rumor.

According to him, this rumor will not have any continuation.

“Please, I kindly ask you not to follow rumors. There is a TV channel called ‘Formula,’ which is one of the most gossip-driven media outlets. I’ve also heard these rumors, and ‘Formula’ expanded them even further. I tell you with full responsibility—this is a rumor that will not continue,” said Mamuka Mdinaradze.

For context, the information about the possible resignation of the current Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri, was reported by “Formula.” According to the TV channel, Mamuka Mdinaradze’s candidacy was being considered for the position.
