Salome Zurabishvili: Let us stand with the parents of prisoners of conscience; we are united in a righteous struggle – Christ is Risen! And Georgia shall rise again, many times tormented, but always!

Easter is the night of victory for the good, the righteous, and the tormented! – Georgia shall rise again, many times tormented, oppressed, and persecuted, but always victorious! – writes Georgia’s fifth President, Salome Zurabishvili, on social media.

Salome Zurabishvili notes that we are now engaged in a common struggle against hatred, oppression, injustice, and intimidation, and calls on the public to gather at Kashveti Church at 11:00 PM with candles in hand.

“Easter is the night of victory for the good, the righteous, and the tormented!

Let us also stand with the parents of prisoners of conscience and express our solidarity.

We are united in a just struggle against hatred, oppression, injustice, and intimidation.

Whoever can, come to Parliament at 7:00 PM, Heroes Square at 9:00 PM, but all of us together – with candles – at Kashveti at 11:00 PM, and together:

‘Christ is Risen!’ – and Georgia shall rise again, many times tormented, oppressed, persecuted, but always victorious!

Christ is Risen!” – writes Salome Zurabishvili.
