Of course, I'm staying in Georgia! - God forbid I think about living in another country, - said the former chairman of the Georgian Dream, Irakli Gharibashvili, answering the question whether he will stay in Georgia after his resignation.

According to him, as one of the patriots, he will always make his small contribution to strengthening the country.

“Well, why should I go?! Of course, I’m staying in Georgia. I love this country the most. I don’t consider living in any [other] country. God forbid I think about living in another country. This is our country, friends. This is our homeland, and we all need to think about strengthening and protecting our country. It does it matter where I will be and in what position. As one of the patriots, I, of course, will always dream, work hard, and make my small contribution to strengthening our country,” said Gharibashvili

When asked whether it’s time to go home now, given the current situation in the country, Gharibashvili replied: “I think the situation is calm. The weather is good, and why not?!”

For information, Gharibashvili recently announced his resignation from the post of chairman of the Georgian Dream. He says he's leaving politics.
