Irakli Gharibashvili: No, I don’t have a sanction. Why should I have one, I don’t understand?! Or why were others sanctioned?

No, [I don’t have a sanction]. Why should I have one, I don’t understand?! - This is how the former chairman of the Georgian Dream, Irakli Gharibashvili, answered a question whether he is leaving politics without being sanctioned.

Irakli Gharibashvili made this statement to the media at a briefing held at the party office.

“I don’t know. No, [I don’t have a sanction]. Why should I have one, I don’t understand?! Or why were others sanctioned?” - Gharibashvili noted.

According to him, he is staying in Georgia.

"Of course, I’m staying in Georgia. I love this country the most. I don’t consider living in any [other] country. God forbid I think about living in another country. This is our country, friends. This is our homeland, and we all need to think about strengthening and protecting our country. It does it matter where I will be and in what position. As one of the patriots, I, of course, will always dream, work hard, and make my small contribution to strengthening our country," Irakli Gharibashvili said.
