As a mother and a doctor, I believe that Giorgi was poisoned. This was done by the Russian special services, the Russian government, our “respectable” prosecutor Gabitashvili and the director of the 18th penitentiary system, Davit Daraselia - I blame them all for the operation to eliminate my son, - Eka Tsereteli, the mother of Giorgi Chikvaidze, who is accused of embezzling a large amount of money, told InterpressNews at the Tbilisi City Court.
According to Eka Tsereteli, her son’s condition is serious.
“Yesterday, at midnight, at about 01:30, the Public Defender’s Office contacted me. They visited Giorgi very late due to Giorgi’s urgent call. Giorgi’s condition has worsened and I don’t think they will bring him to court today, especially since he was expelled from the session. As a mother, I suspect that Giorgi was poisoned. An unknown, undiagnosed seizure that he had on March 13, as a result of which he was chained to a wheelchair, caused him to lose vision in his right eye. And today, the person has already started having skin problems that he has never had in his life.
As a mother and a doctor, I think that he was poisoned. This was done by the Russian special services, the Russian government, our “respectable” prosecutor Gabitashvili and the director of the 18th penitentiary institution, Davit Daraselia. I blame them all for the operation to eliminate my son. Yes, I think he was poisoned in prison. This requires an examination by toxicologists. I appeal to the Public Defender and all organizations that have the power to do something,” said Eka Tsereteli.
For information, Giorgi Chikvaidze’s 50,000-GEL bail as a preventive measure was replaced with pre-trial detention on March 11, and he was detained in the courtroom. The prosecutor’s office filed a motion with the court on the grounds of Chikvaidze’s violation of the bail conditions, which was granted by Judge Iza Kelenjeridze.
The investigation was initiated based on a complaint from the company Elt Building into the fact of fraudulent appropriation of a large amount of money belonging to the company.
