The Resistance Platform created by the fifth President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, has issued a statement regarding the searches conducted at the homes of the heads of several foundations.
According to the Resistance Platform, this is yet another confirmation of how Georgian Dream is bothered by the protests of Georgian citizens and that the only modus operandi of Georgian Dream is repression.
“Today, the regime’s law enforcement officers raided the homes of five citizens for propaganda purposes, some of whom are connected to civil foundations that help citizens cope with draconian fines, criminal prosecutions, and other repressive measures of the regime.
This is yet another confirmation of how they are bothered by the protests of Georgian citizens and that the only modus operandi of the Georgian Dream is repression - they can no longer govern, they can only persecute citizens.
By doing so, the regime is trying to convince its supporters that a pregnant woman with a small child was involved in sabotage and activities against the constitutional order, while in a seized state there is no institution that would protect citizens targeted for propaganda purposes, their truth and justice.
The Resistance Platform will act in the best interests of the citizens of Georgia and will ensure the accountability of those who participated in the planning and execution of these illegal raids.
The platform collects data on all these people and will do its best to achieve that our allies impose sanctions on those who make and execute illegal decisions,” reads the statement.
