Being called a soldier of Georgia is both a great honor and a huge responsibility. Carrying this status with dignity requires great work and dedication, which is why a soldier of Georgia deserves the trust and love of people, - Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze noted in his speech at the event dedicated to the Day of the Defense Forces.
According to him, the strengthening of the defense forces, the progress and development of the country will continue in the future.
“Today is a special day for the recent history of Georgia. This is a day when we proudly demonstrate our independence and sovereignty. Today, together with you, we celebrate the peaceful and bright future of our country.
During these years, the Georgian Defense Forces have overcome many difficult challenges. We promise that the strengthening of our Defense Forces, the progress and development of our country will continue in the future.

All the combat successes of our military combine numerous examples of perseverance, strength and the manifestation of a fighter's nature. Your dignity, professionalism and dedication are unanimously recognized by everyone, in Georgia and abroad. Today, I would like to specially congratulate the families of the soldiers who died in battles for the territorial integrity of Georgia and the international missions and I want to tell them that we will never forget our heroes and will always pay due respect. The examples of self-sacrifice and heroism for the homeland, which each of us is proud of, will never be erased from the memory of the Georgian people. I bow to the bright memory of our heroes," said Irakli Kobakhidze.
