The commission's session today will discuss the case of the so-called Navtlughi special operation of 2006, during which 3 young people died. Mikheil Artmeladze, the father of one of the murdered, Marad Artmeladze, has been invited to the session. According to him, during the special operation, his son and other young people were killed by Data Akhalaia, a high-ranking official of the then government, together with his employees. The Chairperson of the Commission, Tea Tsulukiani, responded to the statement made by Mikheil Artmeladze at the session.

“We are slowly moving towards a point where the sovereignty and independence of our country, we hope, thanks to this policy, which is now being implemented by Georgian Dream, will acquire real meaning and the young people who will take over the government will have a state to govern, where the opinion of a foreign ambassador sent here will not be of any interest at all regarding the internal affairs of the country.

We must slowly move towards this point because, unfortunately, none of the ambassadors, from 2012 to the present, with one or two lucky exceptions, have respected our sovereignty, the blood that Georgians have shed in the fight for freedom, but have supported Mikheil Saakashvili.
