Salome Zurabishvili notes that she looks forward to working with Merz to restore the partnership in support of broader EU security, stability, and Georgia’s European future.

“Congratulations, Friedrich Merz, on your election as Chancellor. I wish you every success in leading Germany through these challenging times.

I look forward to working with you to restore our partnership in support of broader EU security, stability, and Georgia’s European future. Germany’s ongoing support for the Georgian people’s fight for freedom and democracy is deeply appreciated,” wrote Zurabishvili.
