The Georgian Dream congress will be held today. The ruling party will elect a new chairman and approve the updated composition of the political council.

At this stage, it is not specified who will be nominated for the position of the party chairman.

“The congress of the political union Georgian Dream will be held on May 7, where the new chairman of the party will be elected. The updated composition of the political council will also be approved at the congress,” the Georgian Dream party announced.

For information, the chairman of the Georgian Dream, Irakli Gharibashvili, has decided to leave the party and politics. Gharibashvili made the relevant statement on April 25.
