Shalva Papuashvili: I want the voters of “Lelo” and the “For Georgia” party, as well as those of other opposition parties, to know that these two parties are actively preparing for the local self-government elections

According to the Speaker of Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, "Lelo" and the "For Georgia" party are actively preparing for the upcoming local self-government elections.

Speaking to journalists, Papuashvili called Mamuka Khazaradze a "fraudster" and said that the Lelo party has already started preparations for the elections.

“Let’s all understand what preparation means. Preparation means allocating finances — it can even involve boosting party structures, offices, and so on with additional resources. Above all, it means spending money, that’s how preparation begins. What do you think — that Khazaradze’s party, a bunch of fraudsters, is spending money on hypothetical elections that they know won’t even be announced? Of course not. If they’re spending money, it’s for elections they know will definitely take place. This country isn’t that big — it’s small. When we say 'everyone knows everyone,' that means information spreads fast, especially when it concerns the whole of Georgia, the regions. You can’t hide who’s receiving what assignments, what they’re busy with — they are preparing for the local elections.

They’re fooling their voters, acting like great revolutionaries who are about to turn Georgian history upside down. So I want the voters of Lelo and For Georgia, as well as other opposition parties, to know — these two parties are actively preparing for the local self-government elections,” said Papuashvili.
