According to the Chairperson of the Unity National Movement, Tina Bokuchava, the non-invitation of Georgia to the informal meeting of the foreign ministers of the candidate countries in Warsaw is yet another proof that “everything is being done by the efforts of Bidzina Ivanishvili’s regime to remove Georgia from the international agenda.”
According to her, the Honorary Chairperson of the Georgian Dream, Bidzina Ivanishvili, “has chosen communist China, Iran, which is hostile to America, and the occupier of Georgian territories, Putin’s Russia, as friends of Georgia.”
“This is yet another proof that Bidzina Ivanishvili’s regime is doing everything it can to remove Georgia from the international agenda. This is precisely the desire of Bidzina Ivanishvili’s regime to remove Georgia from the international agenda and to leave Georgia’s occupier Russia, Iran hostile to America, and communist China as the only possible “partners.” These are the “friends” that Bidzina Ivanishvili has chosen – communist China, Iran hostile to America, and Putin’s Russia, the occupier of Georgia’s territories. Of course, people understand very well that these are not Georgia’s friends. Specifically, Russia is Georgia’s enemy, an occupying force, and accordingly, I am confident that very soon, with our joint efforts, we will get rid of this collaborationist and traitorous government.
As for the gathering in Warsaw, of course, under a democratic, normal, pro-European government, we would not have only attended this meeting as a country with candidate status, but Georgia would already have opened negotiations on joining the European Union, which would mean a lot of European investments and access to billions of euros,” Bokuchava said.
In addition, Bokuchava, speaking to journalists, responded to the Estonian Foreign Ministry’s decision to cancel the visa-free regime for holders of Georgian diplomatic passports. According to Bokuchava, “visa-free travel and any other privileges that the European Union grants to non-member countries are based on common values.”
“Visa-free travel and any other privilege that the EU grants to non-member countries are based on common values. These values do not include: pursuing Russia’s interests, carrying out repressions against the Georgian people at the behest of Russia, adopting draconian laws, illegally detaining people, having political prisoners in the country, etc. These are not the values that the EU stands for, therefore, those privileges that are based on values are naturally also in the process of being revised. In order for us not to lose visa-free travel, to maintain this important privilege that is the achievement of the Georgian people, and moreover, to open negotiations on accession to the EU and gain access to billions of euros in various EU structural funds, [for this] we must expel, defeat, and get rid of Bidzina Ivanishvili’s traitorous Russian, anti-national, anti-European government, which sanctions the Georgian people," Bokuchava noted.
