This path is not the path of Georgia! - stated the fifth President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili.

According to her, the existence, independence, freedom, and peace of this country depend on how closely it will be with Europe.

"I congratulate all of Georgia on Europe Day. This is Georgia's day in reality. Europe and Georgia are inseparable. Our future is Europe, our past is Europe. Our existence, independence, freedom, peace all depend on how closely we will be with Europeans or in Europe. Not seeing this and isolating this country, leaving it with Russia is the biggest crime that any government can do to this country. We must understand this well. The distance that we feel from Europe today is not Europe's fault, not Europe's action against us, because of some nonsense: we are too patriotic...
