Citizens holding march to US Embassy under title - "Thank you, MEGOBARI”

Citizens are holding a march from Akhmeteli metro station to the US Embassy under the title - "Thank you, MEGOBARI".

The participants of the march are thanking the US Embassy in Georgia for the fact that after the approval of the MEGOBARI Act in the lower house of the US Congress - the House of Representatives - the bill was transferred to the upper house of Congress - the Senate.

As the march participants say, the MEGOBARI Act is a document supporting the Georgian population.

In addition, those present are carrying Georgian and US flags.

In addition, the demonstrators are chanting: "Step down", "Sanctions are on the way", "Freedom to political prisoners", "Down with the regime".

The participants of the demonstration are carrying banners with the inscriptions: “Freedom for prisoners of conscience!”, “MEGOBARI ACT - Friendship in Act!”

Law enforcement officers are mobilized at the scene.

Earlier, the participants of the march gathered at 14:00 near the Station Square, Avlabari and Delisi metro stations, after which they moved to the Akhmeteli metro station by metro.
