Irakli Kobakhidze's letter is the beginning of a new kind of propaganda to justify himself to his own voters, - Ana Buchukuri, one of the leaders of Gakharia for Georgia, said on PalitraNews regarding Irakli Kobakhidze's open letter.
According to Buchukuri, the open letter that Irakli Kobakhidze wrote to Donald Trump showed absolute weakness.
“What prompted the writing of this letter? At the beginning of the letter, its real author admits that it seems that they had previously attempted closed communication and, in principle, we all knew about it even without this letter, they were very dissatisfied with the fact that they could not get the desired result, that is, it seems that they could not establish communication with the White House, and they thought of making a public appeal.
This letter can be read in different ways, some may laugh, others - on the contrary, but the main thing here is that this letter for me and my team is completely absolute weakness, a manifestation of absolute weakness and the worst thing that is read and what is important, whether this letter or any similar behavior on the part of Georgian Dream, is that these people are doing all this in the name of the Georgian people and Georgia as a state.
In fact, Georgian Dream needs this narrative in order to "deceive his own voters that they did everything they could. This letter is the beginning of a new kind of propaganda, to justify themselves to his own voters with this," said Ana Buchukuri.
According to her, Kobakhidze's letter is a response to the MEGOBARI Act, which is intended for his own voters. According to Buchukuri, if Trump signs the MEGOBARI Act, Georgian Dream will say that the American president has lost the battle with the "deep state".
“Georgian Dream is trying to create a new reality to reassure voters that even if Trump signs the act, this is not our problem, it happened because Trump was defeated by the "deep state" - this will be their justification.
No matter how much we laugh at the inadequacy of the Dream, Georgia, as a state, remains isolated, alone with the enemy, and the friends who have helped us for so many years are called the enemy.
So far, it seems that they (representatives of Georgian Dream) think that they have the resources not to retreat, at least they are trying to create this feeling, but in a country where a solid majority is in favor of membership in the Western world, including the voters of Georgian Dream, I do not believe and I find it inconceivable that they will ultimately achieve the goal of isolating the country,” noted Ana Buchukuri.
