Petre Tsiskarishvili on Irakli Kobakhidze’s letter: The “Dream” regime has once again revealed its true face. They are also trying to hinder the “MEGOBARI Act,” but that won’t work, because such open letters don’t get the job done

According to Petre Tsiskarishvili, Secretary General of the “United National Movement,” the ruling “Dream” regime once again revealed its true face with Irakli Kobakhidze’s open letter to the U.S. administration.

Tsiskarishvili made this statement while in the United States, where he is on the second day of meetings with congressmen and senators alongside party chairperson Tina Bokuchava.

He stated that such open letters are not how things get done and that “Georgian Dream” will not be able to hinder the passage of the “MEGOBARI Act.”

“With this open letter, the ‘Dream’ regime once again showed its true face — that they are like a group of collective Romanian Călinescus, who was an openly pro-Putinist leader in Romania and who can no longer participate in elections. At the same time, they are trying to block the ‘MEGOBARI Act,’ which has already moved to the Senate. But this will not work, because such open letters don’t get things done.

What irritates this regime the most — and what it cannot accept — is that the absolute majority of the Georgian people still remain pro-Western, pro-Euro-Atlantic, and loyal to the values that are so important to the United States and our European partners,” Tsiskarishvili said.

To recall, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze addressed an open letter to the President of the United States, Donald Trump, and U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance. In the letter, Kobakhidze states that a few weeks ago he wrote to the U.S. about Georgian-American relations but has not yet received a response.

In his letter, Kobakhidze discusses the sanctions imposed on Georgian government officials and expresses surprise that while U.S. leaders harshly criticize President Biden’s decisions, they still have not reversed what he calls Biden’s “criminal decisions.”

Additionally, Kobakhidze claims that there is full alignment between the values of the Georgian government and those of the U.S. administration.

He also addressed the topic of the “deep state,” expressing hope that the U.S. administration will be able to defeat it — something he believes will certainly have a positive impact on resetting Georgian-American relations and restoring the strategic partnership.
