Giorgi Murvanidze will serve as the Acting Mayor of Batumi. Until now, he held the position of Deputy Head at the Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau. Murvanidze was introduced to the City Hall staff today by the Chairman of the Government of Adjara, Sulkhan Tamazashvili.

Tamazashvili also thanked the former mayor of the city, Archil Chikovani, for his work.

“Giorgi Murvanidze is a lawyer by profession and holds a doctorate in international relations. He graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University with a degree in law and completed his doctoral studies in international relations at the Georgian Technical University. Over the years, he held various managerial positions at the Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau,” — stated the Government of Adjara.
