If we look at Joe Wilson, he is very similar in nature to a soviet official. These are ordinary Soviet approaches, which do not befit the United States of America, - Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated, thereby responding to the fact that American and European parliamentarians, including Joe Wilson, are calling on Portugal not to allow representatives of Georgian Dream to participate in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, which will open in Porto at the end of June.

As Kobakhidze notes, first of all, it is important for the United States of America and Europe to establish healthy attitudes instead of Soviet attitudes.

“If we look at Joe Wilson, he is very similar in nature to a soviet official. These are ordinary Soviet approaches, which do not befit the United States of America, nor Europe. We knew a different Europe at the end of the last century. We knew a different United States of America, not the one that Joe Wilson embodies. Hopefully, all this will change. First of all, it is important for the United States of America itself, for Europe, to establish healthy attitudes instead of such Soviet attitudes,” Kobakhidze noted.

He also responded to the statement of European Parliamentarian Rasa Juknevičienė and noted that Joe Wilson and Rasa are absolutely the same type - the soviet spirit is directly reflected in them.

“Of course, Rasa is also one of the speakers of these Soviet approaches. She is the same type - Joe Wilson and Rasa are absolutely the same type. The soviet spirit is directly reflected in these people. Ms. Rasa represents the post-Soviet republic and it seems that she has not been able to overcome her own Soviet experience, which is very sad. We need a fair and healthy approach, which we do not see from such people. She is truly a friend of dictator Saakashvili, she was friends even when Saakashvili was the head of the regime and continues this friendship to this day," Kobakhidze noted.
